TYGER Theatre presents
THE KIMBERLEY TIN
Running time: 45 mins
TYGER are opening the Galway Theatre Festival this year with a new devised show directed by Jessica Curtis.
Inspired by the discovery of a tin full of memorabilia from dodgy ID cards through unsent love letters
to Francois-the-foreign-excha nge student, to chintzy address books filled with forgotten names,
The
Kimberley Tin will bring you on a little trip of
truth and discovery.
The Kimberly Tin is a devised experiment using the cast’s own verbatim experiences from earliest memories through to today.
The piece will feature an original score by Gillian Bogan and woven through the narrative the audience will uncover nostalgic favourites from the 80s, 90s and noughties.
Cast: Gillian Bogan, Claire Howley, Ailbhe Harding, Emmet Byrne, Maeve Gormley, Kathryn Reynolds
Voice recordings: Emilu Rooney
Crew: Pete Ashton, Ciara Brady
Original melodies by Gillian Bogan with lyrics derived directly from the writings of the cast and crew.

Praise for Freefall: Heroes by TYGER 2010
‘I found the production intensely moving. The sense of ordinary lives overwhelmed by catastrophe was quite overwhelming. The careful build-up - ordinary lives lived unremarkably - led with the intensity of Greek tragedy to the unbearable tragedy. The work was well presented, carefully mounted, beautifully performed. This sort of theatrical contemplation demands very high standards and TYGER achieved them.’ - James Harrold, Arts Officer, Galway City Council
'A courageous and original play about a difficult
and important subject staged in a moving and inventive production by TYGER Theatre Company'. - Christian O’Reilly, Playwright
